Making an Insect using Loose Parts

Ask a child to collect loose parts like paper pieces, leaves, thread, flowers. Create an insect from your imagination using natural loose parts. Paste it on the blank sheet.

On the sheet

Displays a large bordered rectangular area for pasting. On the left, there are two sample illustrations of insects made using natural loose parts: one ant-like insect made from black stones/seeds, and one butterfly-like insect made from dry brown leaves and twigs. The child collects loose parts, creates an imaginary insect, and pastes it in the frame.
